Je m'appelle Baptiste Loprieno, je suis artiste plasticien, photographe et designer originaire de Grenoble en France.
J'ai crée la marque "ba.lo" dans une optique écologique. En effet, des tonnes de plastiques sont produites chaque année et la plupart fini dans la nature et plus particulièrement dans les mers et les océans, ce qui à un effet catastrophique sur l'environnement et les espèces aquatiques et donc notre santé. Des études montrent que des microsparticules de plastiques contaminent les sols et les océans et se retrouvent ainsi dans notre alimentation. Je pense donc que collecter tout ce plastique pour le recycler et lui donner une seconde vie est une solution pour dépolluer la planète.
D'un design minimaliste, chacune de mes lampes est faite à la main de manière "écoresponsable", c'est à dire fabriquée à partir de plastique recyclé et de bois. Pour créer mes luminaires, j'utilise la technique du thermoformage pour donner une forme au plastique en le chauffant et ensuite l'insérer dans mes cadres en bois. Ces lampes mélangent l'esthétique du bois brut et du plastique blanc et crée un contraste entre la forme carrée de la lampe et l'aspect arrondies que j'utilise sur la partie plastique.
Avec ce projet, je soutien l'organisation ClearBlueSea (http://clearbluesea.org/) en leur reversant une part de mes bénéfices.
Leur action consiste à récolter le plastique des mers et océans pour ensuite le recycler.
J'offre également une ampoule LED avec chaque lampe pour que celle-ci consomme moins d'électricité et soit prête à être utilisée!

My name is Baptiste Loprieno, I am a visual artist, photographer and designer from Grenoble, France.
I created the brand "ba.lo" in an ecological perspective. Indeed, tons of plastics are produced each year and most of them end up in nature and more particularly in the seas and oceans, which has a catastrophic effect on the environment and aquatic species and therefore our health. Studies show that plastic microparticles contaminate soils and oceans and are then found in our diet. So I think that collected all this plastic for recycled and give it a second life is a solution to clean up the planet.
With a minimalist design, each of my lamps is handmade in an eco-friendly way, that means made from recycled plastic and wood. To create my luminaries, I use the thermoforming technique to shape the plastic by heating it and then insert it into my wooden frames. These lamps mixes the aesthetics of raw wood and white plastic and creates a contrast between the square shape of the lamp and the rounded look that I use on the plastic part.
With this project, I support the ClearBlueSea organization (http://clearbluesea.org/) by donating a part of my profits. Their action is to harvest the plastic of the seas and oceans and then recycle it.
I also offer an LED bulb with each lamp so that it consumes less electricity and is ready to use!

Nazywam się Baptiste Loprieno, jestem artystą plastykiem, fotografem i designerem pochodzącym z Grenoble we Francji.
Stworzyłem markę „ba.lo” z myślą o ekologii. Każdego roku, produkujemy tysiące ton plastiku, którego większość trafia do środowiska, a szczególnie do mórz i oceanów. Niesie to za sobą katastrofalne skutki dla natury, dla fauny i flory morskiej , a w konsekwencji dla naszego zdrowia. Badania wykazują, że mikrocząsteczki plastiku zanieczyszczają glebę i oceany, przenikając w ten sposób do naszej żywności. Myślę więc, że zbieranie tego plastiku, poddawanie go recyklingowi i dawanie mu „drugiego życia” jest jednym ze sposobów na oczyszczenie naszej planety.
Każda z moich lamp jest wykonana ręcznie, w sposób „ekologicznie odpowiedzialny”, według minimalistycznego projektu, z plastiku i drewna. Wykorzystuję technikę termoformowania. Podgrzewam plastik, aby nadać mu kształt i umieścić go w drewnianych ramkach. Estetyczne połączenie surowego drewna i białego plastiku tworzy kontrast miedzy kwadratową formą lampy i zaokrąglonymi kształtami, które nadaję częściom z plastiku.
Dzięki temu projektowi wspieram organizację ClearBlueSea (http://clearbluesea.org/), przekazując jej 10 % moich zysków. Organizacja ta zajmuje się zbieraniem plastiku na morzach i oceanach, aby następnie poddać go recyklingowi.
Do każdej lamy dodaję żarówkę LED, aby zużywała mniej energii i mogła być od razu zapalona.
